I have been providing info, hints tips and guides for my fellow players and newbies since 2006!

But of course I do have an off-line life as well, with family, friends, interests & hobbies.  This page is all about that!

I'm so excited

(...and I just can't hide it)

Every year at the end-of-May school holidays, my family & I jet off to a nearby country for a week or so in the sun.   But as I have a "Special Birthday" in 2020 and the kids are getting older, the wife has agreed we can go to... Vegas Baby!!   (Now re-scheduled for 2023 - see below)

We will be traveling around to places like the Grand Canyon and L.A. but we plan to start our holiday in Excalibur!

I have been to Vegas before (and even stayed in Excalibur once) but my last visit there was way back in 2004.

Apart from this fairy-tale castle, I am also very much looking forward to going to some of the other totally awesome hotels this jaw-dropping city has to offer:

New York, New York - with its thrilling roller-coaster running around and into the hotel!

Bellagio with its spectacular dancing fountains.

Luxor and its VERY unconventional construction and massive sphinx guarding the entrance.

And of course the Stratosphere - tallest and scariest hotel in the city! 

Despite my fear of heights, I did actually go on the Stratosphere's Big Shot last time (That's the ride which goes up and down that massive pole on the top of the building) and I will probably go on that again.   But there's no way you'll get me on those rides that dangle you over the edge, more than 1,000 feet above the ground!

After Vegas we're going to head out to the fabulous Grand Canyon for a couple of days.   Last time we took a light-aircraft flight over the chasm - but the misses doesn't want to do that again, due to an irrational fear of being in a confined space with me!

Next we'll head down to L.A. and visit Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios.   Not sure yet which one first, but one of those days will be my birthday, so it's going to be pretty special!

UPDATE

Unfortunately, as you may have guessed, our holiday of a lifetime had to be cancelled due to the fricking Covid 19 virus!

To say I was gutted would be a GROSS understatement.

Travel to the USA was impossible in 2021 and the early part of 2022 due to the Coronavirus, and so we finally decided to reschedule the trip to Easter 2023.  

We went... and we LOVED it!

We did slightly change our plans - we did still go to Vegas for the first 5 days, but stayed in the fabulous MGM Grand!

The best thing for me persoanally was going to see The Blue Man Group at the Luxor - the best show I have ever seen in my life!

After Vegas, it was the awesome Grand Canyon, where we took a plane ride over this fabulous natural feature.

Then on to Los Angeles. We decided to skip 6 Flags, but still went to Universal Studios for the most wonderful day, despite the rain trying to spoil it for us.

I was able to partly fund this trip with the help of a few really decent online wins I had before we booked it.   I generally average more than 12 hits over x100 every month.   Now that doesn't necessarily mean I make a profit, but the last few months of 2019 were VERY good!
