Newbies FAQs

If you are totally new to internet based casinos, these are some of the VITAL things you need to know...

Is it safe?

All the casinos listed on this website are 100% safe and secure. Any information you supply them is totally confidential. I have personally played at over 300 different casinos since 2001 and never had any problems at one of these regulated and licensed sites.

When you win and cash-out – you WILL get paid. (If no T&Cs were broken)

But be warned – there are now 1000’s of casinos online and sadly 75% of them are “dodgy” or outright rogue. Always use a respected website (like this one!) to check which are the reputable and honest operators.

Are the games fair?

Absolutely yes. I only list casinos whose games have been fully tested and audited by 3rd party regulators. All games are run from a true RNG which means, for example, card games and roulette play exactly the same as they would in a real casino.

The slots are also 100% random and have pay-outs typically in the 95%-97% range, which is much better than you’ll find in arcades and real casinos!

Bonuses – what’s the catch?

As you can see on the casino information pages on this site, all casinos offer fairly large or generous bonuses to tempt you to give them a try. The only “catch” is that in most cases you have to meet the specified Wagering Requirements (WR) before you are allowed to cash-out anything (including your deposit).

These days there are many different types of bonuses; for full info, please see: Bonus Guide.

You will also find my Guide to Terminology and Abbreviations a very helpful page to read.

What about all those T&Cs?

Like all responsible businesses, online casinos have to have terms to protect themselves from fraud and abuse. It is ABSOLUTLY VITAL that you read ALL the T&Cs connected to any bonuses you take to ensure you comply with the rules. Failure to do so could result in the loss of your bonus and winnings.

Also it is wise to check the General T&C for these key points:

> Are you allowed to play from your country of residence?

> Are there any maximum bet limits while using bonuses? (Might not be in bonus terms)

> Are there any limits on how much you can withdraw at one time?

> By what method will you be able to withdraw? (This is not always the same way you deposit)

What age must I be?

You must be at least 18-years old to play an online casino. Some casinos and some countries may have a higher requirement – if in doubt, check with the casino.

Will I have to supply I.D. documents?

Yes, you will. Because of the delay it would cause, casinos do not ask for ID before you deposit – the vast majority only ask when you come to withdraw. Some will allow a certain value of withdrawals before asking, but that’s rare.

You will usually be asked to supply the following:

> A form of Government Issued photo ID (Passport, ID card or Driving License)

> A recent utility bill in YOUR name and YOUR address.

You might also be asked to verify other details about your deposit method.

How long will my withdrawal take?

This varies from place to place, but generally speaking at EU licensed casinos your cash-out will be processed in a matter of hours (once your account is fully verified).   And there will be no fees.

For players in countries like USA, Canada & Australia withdrawals often take a little longer and there may also be fees applied by the casino or their processor.   The fastest method is to use Bitcoin: Casino Extreme for example, pay out instantly by this method!

My country is not listed on any of the pages of this site – can I still play?

You will have to check the T&Cs of each individual casino as they are all different and it depends on which software they use, where they are based and where licensed.

Generally speaking the following are usually accepted at most casinos:

> All of Western Europe (often Eastern Europe countries are blocked)

> All countries in North and South America (except no USA at most casinos)

> All of Australia, Asia and Africa (where legal in each country)

Can I play ALL the games?

Not necessarily. These days most casinos have games from multiple different providers, some of which are blocked for certain countries. But this is usually controlled by "geo location" and so in the casino's lobby you should only be shown games you CAN play.
Also note however, that some games are not mobile compatable and so can only be played on computers & laptops.

Anything else?
